TEIJA label is a minimalist study into practical, utility-spawn wardrobe to recreate the pieces with couture finish and materials.
The Nordic spirit of refined everyday influence the designs in the employment of only highly specialized, mostly cotton, fabrics from Europe and Japan together with the carefully developed craftsmanship. This Finnish minimalism creates space for the more advanced, carefully measured silhouette and cut. The traditional tailoring skills that designer Teija Eilola acquired at the Royal College of Art show in the cut and make. The fit is studied and improved on every season with consistency and coherence as high priority.
Teija Eilola is a graduate of RCA where she acquired skills in traditional tailoring. Before launching the line in 2012 at the Final of Fashion Fringe, Teija spent some time being mentored by Christopher Bailey at Burberry head office.
Teija has previously worked as joint head of design at Ted Baker Mainline, designer at Michiko Koshino and consultant for other brands. Currently Teija is also creative director of luxury nightwear label Three Graces London.
